OUTLOOK 2007
- Go to Tools, then Account Settings – under the Account Settings window, click on the Email Tab, click New.
- Select Microsoft Exchange, POP, IMAP, or HTTP then click Next.
- Under Auto Account Setup, check Manually Configure Server settings or additional types. Click Next.
- Select Internet Email, click Next.
- Input User Information
Your Name: Your Display Name
Email Address: youremail@myexamplename.com
Input Server Information:
Account Type: POP3
Incoming Mail Server: pop.myexamplename.com
Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.myexamplename.com - Input Logon Information:
User Name: youremail@myexamplename.com
Password: ********
Check the box ‘remember password’ - Click More Settings:
Check the box ‘My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication’ and confirm ‘Use the same settings as my incoming mail server’ is selected. - Click the Advanced tab and set the following settings:
Outgoing server (SMTP): mail.yourdomain
Port number: 587
Use the following type of encrypted connection: (leave unchecked) - Click OK, click Next and then click Finish.
IPHONE AND IPAD
- Select Settings and then select Mail, Contacts, Calendars
- Select Add Account, Other, Add Mail Account
- Complete your account information
Name: Your Name
Address: youremail@myexamplename.com
Password: *******
Description - Click Save
- On the New Account page, select POP or IMAP and enter:
Email account display name
Email address: youremail@myexamplename.com
Password: ********
Account description
Incoming Mail Server Host Name: mail.myexamplename.com
User Name: youremail@myexamplename.com
Password: **********
Outgoing SMTP Mail Server Host Name: mail.myexamplename.com
Even if described as Optional, enter User Name (email address) and password - Press Save
- If prompted the certificate for your email address is invalid, press Continue
- The connection will fail and should ask you to try to connect without using SSL. Press Yes
If you successfully create an email account on your iPhone, you will be returned to Mail, Contacts, Calendars
